The company has earned a reputation among original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers and distributors for providing world-class custom solutions since 1977 but recently has positioned its standard rubber and plastic molded products such as switch seal boots and sealing washers for elevated visibility and sales. Panova Team Goes the Extra Mile to Meet Delivery Commitments During COVID-19 Outbreak

As with most other businesses, Panova was forced to rejigger operations once the coronavirus spread took hold. Most of the company’s New Jersey staff transitioned to working remotely, with other team members reporting to the Towaco, New Jersey, office two to three days a week to manage assembly, shipping and receiving duties, said Carl Grossi, vice president of global operations.

“As the initial impact in Asia occurred, Panova managed our supply chain very closely to ensure our clients’ orders and needs were met,” he said. “As the pandemic spread and impacted the U.S., we also worked very closely with our domestic supply chain to make sure they were safe and equipped to support our needs as well. On occasion, we have had to air freight product in order to meet our delivery commitments to our clients.”

Grossi added that the company leveraged its supply chain to obtain personal protective equipment for Panova, its clients and ministry and community outreach partners.

Coronavirus Proves to Be Another “True Test of Strength”

Panova had been down a similar road before, back in late 2012, when Hurricane Sandy caused almost $70 billion in damage. The company was ready for agile action when COVID-19 guidelines came from health organizations.

“We’ve been 100 percent cloud-based for almost a decade,” said Ehren Dimitry, Panova president and CEO. “This is the second true test of the strength of our systems, with Sandy being the first. We have utilized this time to make many continuous improvement efforts to streamline remote work.”
